Black? Angry? Tenor? Anyone who could stereotype the enormous diversity of energetic, complex and great jazz from the early sixties like that doesn't have a clue. Get someone who knows what the hell they're talking about. Someone who gets beyond "Goodbye Porkpie Hat". Charles Mingus was one of the greatest composers in any medium.

NPR, you really don't much like music, do you.

NPR doesn't like anything that isn't approved by their Rescumlican Overlords.

Refusing to pledge until NPR stops lying for the GOP.
It makes me regret having sent them money during their financial crisis in the Reagan years. Local public radio stations should band together and form a real non-profit news source but if they did they should keep it headquartered well away from DC. Molly Ivins got it right on the mark when she said they all end up saying the same thing there.
